Last Saturday in Croke Park Mullingar Shamrocks work for promoting the Green agenda received further validation when the club was included in the Phase 2 of the association's Green Club Initiative. 

The presentations were made by the GAA President, Jarlath Burns.

We were also included in Phase 1 and on Saturday 92 clubs were recognised for their work. 92 of these clubs were Leinster GAA based and included Shamrocks, Milltown G.A.A Club and Garrycastle GAA Club.

Great credit is due to our proactive Green Club Officer Joan Crawford Ormsby. Without Joan's commitment and enthusiasm for the cause our focus on biodiversity would hardly be as focused.

Mullingar Shamrockswere represented in Croke Park on Saturday last by Joan and our club Vice-Chairperson, Debbie Newman.
