Na SeamrÓigí 2024 Season End
After 8 months of fun and games, our 2024 SeamrÓigí training has come to an end, and we marked this with some special end of season events over the past 2 weekends.
On Sat 21 September our Under-6 group held a mini blitz vs Shandonagh in Springfield, the return leg from the initial blitz held in Shandonagh back in August. This was a hugely successful and action-packed morning, with large numbers of boys and girls from both clubs coming together to display their wonderful array of football skills, and great teamwork and commitment to the fore. Afterwards we enjoyed a cuppa and some treats with the parents and mentors of the Shandonagh group, and everyone left feeling great about the talent on show and the bright football future ahead for these boys and girls from both clubs.
On Sat 28 September, we had our final SeamrÓigí session, which involved an internal mini blitz for the Under-5 group and a huge variety of games for the Under-4 Nursery group. The Under-5 SeamrÓigí finished up on a wonderful high with great sunshine and even greater enthusiasm and football from our Under-5 players. Fantastic football skills were on show from all the boys and girls.
The energy and enthusiasm from children, parents and coaches of all groups was palpable, and really reinforced everything that is good about SeamrÓigí. With a few goodies to hand and smiles on faces, we wrapped things up for the year on a high.
Once again SeamrÓigí has been a great success in 2024 and is really the lifeblood of the club. We are building for the future, and SeamrÓigí is an integral part of our path forward. To see great numbers of children training each week is testament to the commitment and support of our parents and children.
Special word of thanks to the extensive coaching group, our GPO JP Bracken, and all the club and committee helpers we have on Saturday mornings ( Pat, Oliver, Padraig ), without whom SeamrÓigí could not run as it does.
Enjoy the few months off, recharge the batteries, and get ready to go again in the Spring.
