It’s official and we are delighted
Mullingar Shamrocks were delighted to learn during the week that the club was awarded €200,000 via the Community Sport Facilities Funding scheme The amount awarded is the maximum available in the reconstruction of playing pitches category. The award is one of 50 made to Westmeath clubs who secured €6,727, 583 in total funding.
It is important to note that this allocation CANNOT be used to finance the purchase of our development land and no doubt the award will energise the fundraising campaign that is ongoing and making steady progress.
Well done to all involved in making the application and to our neighbour Mullingar Handball Club who were also successful. .
