Karen is back …

The match with St Mary’s, Rochfortbridge marked the comeback to competitive action of Westmeath county player Karen Hegarty after a near twelve-month lay-off due to a cruciate injury incurred last July when representing Westmeath. Shamrocks members and supporters who frequent Springfield will be aware of how hard Karen has worked over several months to recover from the serious injury. Karen has been ever-present in the gym as she diligently followed the prescribed programme of her medical advisers. Karen played a significant role in the Shamrocks goal against St Mary’s and it’s in wonderful to see a great Shamrocks member return to active service.
