Last week's call to those who had forgotten to pay their membership fees had an immediate and enthusiastic response and close to €1,500 was paid over the 48 hours following the post. People do forget you know and one's inbox gets overloaded with emails at times.
So we'll give the REMINDER notice one more spin and repeat last week's text.
Normally this should be filed in the gentle reminder category but it's too late in the season for that. With football taking a back seat this week it is an opportune time to issue a reminder that a number of people have yet to RENEW their membership fees for 2024 which fall due each year on 1 January regardless of when the payment was made for the previous season.
It is hard to believe that the revenue from membership fees is almost €3,000 short of last season's income.
And this in Mullingar Shamrocks, a club that has fantastic futuristic plans and ambitions.
Voting rights and management-executive positions in the club can only be held by Full Adult Members and only full members are entitled to vote at an AGM or other meeting. It costs a nominal €55 annually for the privilege of membership.
So check out your membership status on the attached link and get out the Revolute or other card and make the necessary payment to become part of something special.
