Money Doesn’t Grow on Trees …. Golf Classic
Our Executive meeting on Wednesday night included an interesting discussion on club finances. The bottom line is that it now costs in the region of €50,000 to run the club before a ball is kicked or a Novelty Act is performed in Scór. This is made-up of Bank Loan repayments (Our facilities didn’t fall out of the sky), Public Liability Insurance (approx €7,000), players’ insurance, team entries, the Ladies’ Gaelic Football Levy etc.
If you read this and haven’t paid your membership fee you might re-consider your decision.
It is crucial that our Golf Classic on 21 June is a financial success; as of now it is the only major fundraising venture planned to date.
Some places are still available for teams and most importantly if you can organise a Tee/Green Sponsorship at €50 please do so.
Entry fee per team of 4 is €200 and includes a meal in addition to the round of golf in the very impressive New Forest Golf Course in Tyrrellspass.
Tee off time is at 2.00pm with a Shotgun Start. The Date: 21 June.
