Under-12 League Mullingar Shamrocks 6-11 Killucan 0-1

Under-11: Mullingar Shamrocks 7-12 Killucan 0-1.  

Mullingar Shamrocks recorded two fine wins against Killucan in the under-12 league and the challenge match played between the younger players of both clubs. Goals by Alex Sheerin (2-0) and Ryan Kelly and 0-3 points by John Ryan established a half-time lead of 3-6 to 0-0 in favour of Shamrocks. The trend continued after the interval and Shane Ormsby’s opening second-half goal was a really special effort created by a wonderful pass by John Ryan after Ryan Kelly put his neck on the line to win the initial possession. T. J. Flood netted twice and John Ryan added 0-2 to secure a comfortable win for Shamrocks against Killucan who have had the upper-hand against Shamrocks in recent years at under-age level. The Subway Man of the Match was Ryan Kelly while John Ryan was the chosen one for his display against St Loman’s.
