Invitation to Lá na gClubanna

Remember last year’s carnival of sport and entertoyment. Well Mullingar Shamrocks are participating once again in the Lá na gClubanna promotion on Sunday next 7 May.  Pearse is planning a cycle for the bicycle devotees of the club starting at 11.00 am roughly; at the same time, all members, former players and friends of Shamrocks are invited to introduce themselves to the club’s Walkway and engage in come pre-lunch informal exercise. The Club’s Fitness centre will also be open at the time. Football activity begins at 1.30 with the under-14 boys and will continue throughout the day with mini-games for all our young players, both boys and girls. At 3.15 the Mullingar Town Band will honour us with their presence and perform a selection of music.  At 4.00pm a Gaelic Football match involving the male and female members of the club will be staged. This was one of the highlights of last year’s great day.  After the match, we move indoors to the Clubhouse for food and entertainment. All are invited, all are welcome and for past members it’s a day to renew your contact with your former comrades and maybe see the progress the club has made over the years.
