Triple Header …

 We had three teams in action on Thursday evening. In the Under-14 League at Springfield Killucan were too strong for our young team and were clear winners (7-13 to 2-5). Two teams travelled to Kinnegad; in the under-12 League Mullingar Shamrocks produced a very good team performance and won on a 6-7 to 1-4 scoreline. It is normal at these fixtures to arrange a second match for the younger players where numbers permit and both Shamrocks and Coralstown-Kinnegad are in this position. Our younger boys (under-11), mentored by Kieran Gavin, were also victorious on the night (6-6 to 1-2). It is great to see so many of our prominent adult players taking time out transfer some of their expertise to our youngest players. The following lined out for our under-12s: Eoin Doran (William O’Reilly); Killian Kelly, Peter Finch; James Flynn, Tadgh Sheridan, Karl Mulherne; Matthew Ryan and Shane Ormsby; John Ryan, Ryan Kelly; Alex Sheerin, Luke Raeside.
