Minor Football League: Mullingar Shamrocks 3-14 St Mary’s Rochfortbridge 0-7.
 

Mullingar Shamrocks enjoyed a comfortable victory over an understrength St Mary’s team in Rochfortbridge on Friday night. Early goals by Gavin Pierce and Ronan Byrne and a few fine points by Ronan secured a 2-4 to 0-1 lead for Shamrocks midway through the half.  Donnacha Maguire added 1-1 before the interval to send Shamrocks into a 3-7 to 0-1 lead. 

The second half was evenly contested with points by Gavin Pierce (0-3), Ty Masterson, Charlie Foy (the best of the half), Ronan Byrne (the star man  on the night) and Tom Daly kept the scoreboard tipping over in half that saw Jack Carroll kick some fine points for Rochfortbridge.
