ACL Div.1: Mullingar Shamrocks 1-8 Coralstown-Kinnegad 0-8
After trailing by 0-5 to 0-2 at the interval to wind assisted Coralstown-Kinnegad, Shamrocks outmanoeuvred their heavy defensive system and outscored the home team during the second half to land their first victory of the 2017 campaign. David Gavin scored the all-important goal to secure the vital points and Dylan McDermott had the final score, a huge long-range effort. David Gavin, Tye Adamson and Micheál Curley excelled throughout in a game that marked the return of Kieran Gavin to competitive fare after his Central and South American expedition and Alan Cashman after a long absence through injury.
