Meath too good ...

In the end the result was against Westmeath and Meath were the better team but it has been a great year for Westmeath LGF, so its a case of well done to all concerned.

A massive amount of effort and preparation went into this campaign so we wont be making any comment on the team selection for the final (Stephen Rochford comes to mind) and no doubt Westmeath will be back in Croke Park, dare we suggest, next year.

For the Mullingar Shamrocks 8 its been a brilliant year. An intermediate LGF county title won in the most impressive fashion and an All-Ireland final appearance to round off the year. Carole, Daragh. Lauren, Chloe, Niamh, Tara, Karen and Anna you have done the club proud and Mullingar Shamrocks is proud of your contribution in this strangest of all seasons.

And it was wonderful watching Anna Jones claiming ownership of Croke Park and Tara Fagan's performance following a remarkable recovery from a serious hand injury should also be recognised.
