Under-13 Football Championship: St Loman's 4-11 Mullingar Shamrocks 3-5

A very good and sporting contest throughout between two well-matched teams, played in very testing weather conditions. St. Loman's, with the aid of the breeze, settled quickly and led by 1-2 to 0-1 at the water break. St. Loman's pulled ahead after the water break but three goals in quick succession from Shamrocks left the half time score at 3-2 to 1-7.

Despite the wind and a number of downpours, the teams served up a very good second half with some great scores. Three second half goals by St. Loman's was the difference and the final score was St. Loman's 4-11 Shamrocks 3-5. This game will serve both teams well as they prepare for the quarter finals in two weeks time.

Another positive from this evening was that all of our players saw action at some stage during the game.
