This evening in Cusack Park we play our final match in the qualifying series of the senior championship. We enter unknown territory on this occasion as we will take the field as hot favourites, a position we rarely experience. The only reason for this is the fact that Tyrrellspass have had the worst season of injuries imaginable. Despite this Tyrrellspass have an interest in the championship and a win against Shamrocks will secure their survival with either a place in the quarter-final or a play off for a quarter final place. Shamrocks are already guaranteed a quarter-final place and depending on the result of the Loman's-Garrycastle match we may qualify for the semi-final.

Either way it is likely to be a typical hard fought and close Shamrocks-Tyrrellspass encounter.
