The Tommy Lennon Memorial Under-10 Go-Games Blitz

The club's Under-10 Go-Games Blitz played on Sunday in Springfield was a wonderful success and featured sixteen enthusiastic teams of young players from clubs based in Westmeath, Kildare, Dublin and Cavan. It was a fitting memorial for Tommy who devoted so much of his time to promoting under age football in Mullingar at a time when it was neither profitable or popular to do so.

And in keeping with the spirit of the Go-Games concept, Mullingar Shamrocks fielded three teams in the competition.

No doubt Tommy was smiling at the good of it all.
