LGF Div.3: Mullingar Shamrocks 0-19 Moate All-Whites 0-5.

A great performance by our LGF Div.3 side in Springfield secured the two available league points. The game was evenly contested in the early stages and it took a great save from Holly McCormack, making her goalkeeping debut, to prevent Moate going ahead. It is worth noting that Holly kept a clean sheet on her debut between the posts. Shamrocks settled and played some great football with great movement and combination play on offer. However, the finishing did not match the approach play and some bad wides were recorded and goal-scoring opportunities missed. However Emma Morris was on target and Shamrocks led by 0-9 to 0-3 at the interval. The pattern of play evident in the first half continued to the final whistle with Mullingar Shamrocks ahead by 0-19 to 0-5. All available substitutes played there were excellent performances from all. All starting forwards got on score sheet and both midfielders. Well done to all concerned.
