The Irwin name is synonymous with Mullingar Shamrocks and Tony and Eddie have contributed in so many ways to the Mullingar Shamrocks club. Their singing talent has been central to many Mullingar Shamrocks fundraising events. Tony has donned the jersey on many occasion in Scór competitions and fundraising events as have Laura and Carla. Mary T. Irwin has stepped on to the Scór stage also.

Mark Irwin has the Mullingar Shamrocks DNA in his veins and was an All-Ireland medal winner in Scór na nÓg in 2006 as part of a title winning ballad group. We tend to forget how good a footballer Mark was and that he played cornerback for Mullingar Shamrocks in the 2010 senior County Final before a great international career in the entertainment industry left little time for football.
