Under-14 Football League: Mullingar Shamrocks 2-6 Shandonagh 1-13.

Although defeated this was the best performance to date of our under-14 team. Having trailed at the interval by 1-7 to 0-0 Shamrocks attacked constantly during the second half and inspired by goals from Johnny Joyce and Brian Farrell and a fine James Devine point produced their best football of the season and came close to upsetting this very strong Shandonagh side.

Substitutes: John Caulfield, Matthew Clinton, James Devine, Mark Shaw, Matthew Moore and Oisín Sheridan.

Under-16 Football League: Mullingar Shamrocks 2-7 Caulry 3-13.

Mullingar Shamrocks travelled to Caulry on Monday night and were beaten by nine points after leading by 2-6 to 2-4 at the interval.
