The Westmeath GAA Yearbook Maroon & White has just hit the shops and is amazing value at €4.95. Denis Corroon and Kieran Gavin are included in the annual’s Westmeath Football Team of the Year. Kieran Gavin is selected at full-back and is described as ‘The prince of full backs in Westmeath for almost a decade now’. Denis Corroon earns the left-half forward position. His ‘incredible levels of fitness’ that enabled him ‘to return from a spell in the UK and go straight back into the Westmeath team for the Leinster SFC quarter-final win over Wexford’ are acknowledged.
