Na SeamrÓigi ...

Na SeamrÓigi ended their programme this morning with a last great session of fun and games in this Covid-19 restricted season. It hasn't been easy so thanks to all the coaches, parents and mentors for their support and cooperation and especially to Adrian Keaveney for his work in making sure that the Saturday mornings provided endless fun and enjoyment for the youngest boys and girls coming to Springfield, in the safest manner possible. The Na SeamrÓigi concept is a wonderful initiative and introduces the children to fun, games, healthy exercise and making friends. That is all that matters.

And as a extra treat several members of our champion LGF team called down with the Mary Wynne Cup and some goodies for all.

Roll on next March when hopefully all will be changed.

Thanks to Robbie Fenton and Bricks 4 Kidz

Robbie Fenton came along to the final morning of Na SeamrÓigi. Robbie's company Bricks 4 Kidz Westmeath & Roscommon are the main sponsors of our Na SeamrÓigi for this season.

Robbie's company, Bricks4 Kidz provides a comprehensive and innovative programme of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) teaching programmes through LEGO® construction building to preschools, primary and secondary schools.

Each of the Bricks4 Kidz programmes has been designed by educators, engineers and architects and developed to match school curricula. The highest standards of learning are demonstrated at Bricks 4 Kidz and as a result primary teachers have put Bricks 4 Kidz at the top of their list for extra-curricular learning activities.

Keep an eye out for Bricks4 Kidz mid-term programmes which will be taking place in a few weeks time.

Under-14 LGF at Baysports, Athlone ...

It was all happening on Saturday morning as our Under-14 LGF team visited Baysports in Hodson Bay, Athlone, home to Ireland's largest inflatable waterpark. Baypark includes the biggest collection of original award winning floating slides, rockers and challenges. The trip marked the end of the season for the girls who were promised the trip when training in the depths of winter. Robbie was not allowed to forget. Twenty-two players travelled to Athlone together with a number of parents and needless to say a great time was had by all. And Robbie was back in good time for the Senior B semi-final v Garrycastle.

Under-9s in Lakepoint Park ..

In what was typically busy Saturday our Under-9s made the short trip to Lakeland Park and engaged with the local St Loman's boys in a number of matches. Thanks to Ronan Casey for the pictures of the occasion that can be viewed on Mullingar Shamrocks Facebook page.
