Another Magic Saturday morning in Springfield ...

A very busy Saturday morning in Springfield ... one of the busiest ever. First and foremost we had the usual crowd of young boy and girl footballers with their many coaches. David Oliver Joyce was down supporting his young son Mickey Joe, an enthusiastic under-8 footballer and brought along his WBO European Title Belt where it was introduced to the Flanagan Cup just back from the repair yard and complete with two handles. Many of our senior players were present to help the young boys and girls in their meet and greet sessions with the cup. Then Ritchie Daly and Gerry Briody had good news for the club and presented Seán Hynes with the substantial fruits of the Intel Volunteer Matching Grant scheme. Entries poured in for the club's Biodiversity Competition organised by Healthy Club Officer Joan Ormsby and the day finished with an informal party for the recently retired Tom Earley.
